This colour communication system, based on Munsell has over 1,400 colours in this master comparison book of colours. Each of 40 pages has its own unique overlay chart, developed by colour specialists and adapted for use in the jewellery industry by our own team of experts. The transparent overlay chart gives the name of the colour. The Gem Crown and Supplemental Book contains usage information along with extensive grading charts that will correlate the World of Color selections with the GemGuide pricing 1-10 grading scale. Now you can more accurately describe, grade, and price all coloured gems.

The World of Color is simple to use with repeatable results. A few easy steps is all you need to describe the colour and grade your gem.

Locate the closest hue page that matches the gem
Determine the tone and saturation to fully match the colour
Using the overlay, find the name of the colour selected
The companion guide will suggest a grade for the gem and colour selected
