All gemmology begins with looking at the material but examining gemstones for internal and external features, especially if the material is on the small side, can be nearly impossible without a good pair of tweezers. Dirt and oil from fingers leave confusing smudges making it difficult to see accurately. Make sure to have a stone cloth handy to clean any marks. Make sure that you are fully equipped with our range of gemmology essentials.
